Welcome to AFP's Fundraising Resource Center Blog of Blogs

The AFP Fundraising Resource Center has been experimenting with some relatively new technology called blogging. (see definition)

The Center will be sharing with members some of the material that it distributes to staff, as well as information that it finds when researching members requests.

Our list of blogs continues to grow. To access the topical blogs use the links to the right.
Some examples include mentions of AFP (both International Headquarters and chapters) in the media, topical news such as the Southeast Asia news on Tsunami Relief efforts ( which became it’s own blog) or general news of the profession which is posted on Recent News of Note. Stories and data on coverage of National Philanthropy Day have also been collected. Another section is Legislation, Government Relations and Related Stories. Some Press Releases are also posted.

Please note that a variety of newspapers require registration before you can view an article. In addition some newspapers only provide free access for a limited time. The Washington Post is an example.

You can read more about the debut of this blog on the AFP website

Wonderful! Blogs are not a relatively recent phenomenon but the popularity and importance of them is.

I am thrilled to see my professional association stepping up to this very pluralistic technology. Kudos to all!

I am compiling a list of Fundraising Blogs floating around on the net. This one is probably one of the best I have ever come across.
